I spent 7 years in Management Consulting.
As a Senior Manager, I led strategy and transformation projects with a focus on Technology and Industrial Goods clients. From a functional perspective, I'm an expert in Advanced Analytics, Post-Merger Integration and Corporate Finance.
I very much enjoy working internationally and feeding my curiosity.
Google – Product Management Internship (Switzerland, United States)
In my second internship at Google, I developed a concept and built a prototype for a weekend getaway feature for Google Flights.
Amazon – Transportation Operations Internship (Germany)
I evaluated forecasts for shipment volumes and simulated a new pricing model to support negotiations with Amazon's largest carrier in Europe.
Google – Software Engineering Internship (United States)
During my first Google internship, I designed and implemented parts of Navigation Editor in Android Studio as well as demo apps.
BMW – Product Management Internship (Germany)
As a working student, I developed a total cost of ownership calculator which simulates the impact of carbon emissions on taxes.

Thesis: Fluorescence Microscopy Image Segmentation with Deep Learning
In my Master's program, I shifted to Mathematics and focused on Optimization and Machine Learning. I'm fascinated by the beauty and simplicity of neural networks and love teaching them to solve real-world tasks.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science
Thesis: Reduced Basis Methods for Parametric Partial Differential Equations
In my interdisciplinary Bachelor's program, I focused on Computational Engineering, Physics, and Probability Theory. Further, I took part in the entrepreneurial scholarship program "Manage & More".
MIT – Massachusetts Insittute of Technology (United States)
I wrote my Master's Thesis at MIT in the Carpenter-Singh Lab at the Broad Institute. I trained neural networks to segment fluorescence microscopy images. I enjoyed contributing to cutting-edge research in Computational Biology and Machine Learning with a focus on Computer Vision.
EPFL – Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (Switzerland)
A semester at EPFL brought me to Lausanne. I focused on High-Performance Computing, Nuclear Engineering, and Complexity Theory. In addition, I studied French and fell in love with Switzerland.
SJTU – Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China)
A scholarship offered me the opportunity to spend six months in Shanghai to study Mandarin at Jiao Tong University. Living in China has induced my fascination for growth and business in China.

During INSEAD and my time at university, I founded four different startups
kafi – Manufactured and marketed bean-to-bar chocolate made from coffee beans
TIM – Raised ETF-based investment fund for INSEAD community (~15% return)
GripTick – Marketed spring-loaded handlebars for bicycles (drop shipping)
SwimIng – Built swimming goggles with head-up display (sponsored by Red Bull)
kafi manufactured and distributed thousands of coffee bars on World Vegan Day.
GripTick sold wooden and spring-dapened handle bars manufactured by velospring.
SwimIng built dozens of prototypes with the help of Red Bull and MakeTechX.
Interests
🦜 I love learning languages and speak German, Swiss German, English, French, and Mandarin.
🎷 Playing music is a source of energy for me. I play the violin (chamber music) and the saxophone.
🥾 Whenever possible, I spend time in the mountains. I love hiking, cross-country skiing, and cycling in the Alps.
I enjoy hiking not only in the Alps, but also in the beautiful national parks in the United States. Half Dome is still on my bucket list.
Goms and Engadin are my go-to destinations for cross-country skiing. I've completed the Engadin Skimarathon every year since 2019.
Cycling alpine passes is exhausting but rewarding. Stelvio is my absolute favorite!
